ICCHESS

ICCHESS stands for “internet correspondence chess”.

Currently, the chess community does not have an easily available, quality software application that allow for the analysis of Fischerandom chess and the management of correspondence chess. While there are clients that exist that perform these tasks, they are not typically robust, and do not support custom FEN/Fischerandom setups. Also, they typically focus on one activity or the other, without allowing the user to complete both tasks with a single software solution. This has left the chess community without an efficient means of performing the tasks of Fischerandom chess analysis and correspondence chess.

ICCHESS interface

This program allows its user to play chess (both normal and Fischerandom styles) with other opponents through e-mail. The program maintains all of the information from the games, and automatically retrieves the games from the user’s e-mail. It has a large selection of very useful functions that make playing a game of chess through e-mail very simple.
